St. Luke's students had an exciting and educational surprise during assembly as they were joined by Recyclerator, the Recycling Robot! With the help of Will from the Tower Hamlets Recycling Team, the children learned some important lessons about reducing waste, reusing materials, and recycling properly.
Will shared key tips with the students, emphasising how essential it is to recycle paper and cardboard effectively. He also explained the importance of ensuring that no rubbish bags are put into recycling bins, as this can disrupt the entire recycling process.
The visit sparked a lot of thoughtful discussion among the children about how they can make a difference in their community. Throughout the week, students have been reflecting on how to recycle more effectively—both at school and at home. They’ve been brainstorming ideas for simple yet impactful actions they can take to help reduce waste and protect the environment.
It’s clear that the students at St. Luke’s are inspired to make recycling a bigger part of their daily lives, and we can’t wait to see what changes they’ll bring about as they put their new knowledge into action!
The assembly was planned as part of the St Luke's sustainability efforts as we continue to work towards a greener future!
