Our first Play Street took place on Tuesday 22nd March on the recently pedestrianised road between our school and Canary Wharf College.
Play Streets are designed to recover that love of active travel and outdoor play that we lost a bit during the pandemic.
The event was run in partnership with Sustrans as part of our work towards maintaining our TFL Stars Gold Award.
It was great to see the children having so much fun and thinking about active travel. We had smoothie bikes, disco bikes and an imagination playground as well as a great display of courage (our value of the week) from the BMX stunt team. We are hopeful we will be able to organise another Play Street in the near future.
